The Jagdishpur Industrial Area is known for its large and medium scale industries of different varieties but specially for chemical based. Jagdispur is at a distance of 65 kms. from Sultanpur. Some major industries at this place are as follows.
1. Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL):Production- Ceramic Insulators.
2. Indo-Gulf Fertilizers Ltd.: Production: Ammonia and Urea based fertilizers.
3. Steel Authority of India
4. Cement factories.
The Amethi has also grown into a large Industrial Estate and one of the main establishments here is the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) which is located at Korwa in Amethi on Sultanpur- Raebarely road. It produces parts of aircraft related to avionics. An unit of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is also located here
